Tom
P. Papuga
Mr. Papuga earned his Bachelor of Science in
Mechanical Engineering from Rutgers University, and his Doctor of Jurisprudence
from South Texas College of Law. Mr.
Papuga's experience and practice are focused primarily in the area of
intellectual property, with an emphasis on patent and trademark
prosecution.
Before joining the firm, Mr. Papuga's legal experience
included clerking at the county attorney's office, and working in corporate
litigation as well as for a private practice firm specializing in patent
and trademark prosecution and litigation.
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Papuga worked as a
professional engineer, specializing in fluid power and mechanical control
systems, in the manufacturing and pharmaceutical industries. While finishing his undergraduate degree, Mr.
Papuga worked as a research assistant at the Rutgers University Robotics &
Mechatronics Laboratory. He also
completed substantial coursework in physics, material science, thermodynamics, mechanism
design, electro-mechanics, and mathematics.
